39 years in data processing for a local community college. Career broke into approximate thirds - IBM mainframe operations, Operating Systems programming, Network management. Now - moved to a small town, picked up 110 acres, collect my retirement check.

Wide range of experiences, but interestingly limited ag income types. Thanks to the vets out there!

Best job looks like a toss up between "hand bra", "fireworks", and of course..."retired"!

General Contractor specializing in nationwide retail construction, and Union Carpenter 8 months a year. The other 4 months, a great hubby...

I am retired for a living . My skill is teaching . Spent 32 great years teaching Science to high school students and anyone else who was interested . Taught Biology, Chemistry, Physics , Physical Science, and Forensic Investigation . Physics was my favorite followed by Forensic Investigation . Had numerous unrelated but interesting jobs as I worked my way toward my teaching career .

The usual kid stuff, paper route, lawn mowing, working on the family ranch (for free), broom and shovel at a local mill, ran Bob War,worked on the Packing line at said mill, 10 years US Navy, 2 deployments to Viet Nam, 4 ships, saw" The World ", now 37 years as a Satellite Tracker for the AF.
I get to retire in two months !!!

Retired firefighter after 25 years then had a dumb moment and bought a marina. There is no such thing as nice quiet marina to operate semi-retired just a small hectic marina north of Huntsville, Ontario:thumbsup:

Worked on the family farm and sawmill growing up. Drove various equipment, forklifts, wheel loaders, dozers and tractors. Spent many a school age summer as a lumber piler on the sawmill.

Went to school for cabinet making, then got a job in it, and really quickly realized that I didn't enjoy doing my favourite hobby as a career.

Now a 2nd class power engineer working as a shift lead at a small SAGD oil facility.
