What's going on at Amazon?

My worst experience was buying a telescoping husqvarna pole saw,

. I even have security cam pics of them carrying it to my porch .
You need to move, or lay off the coke, it's make you paranoid.

I have been wanting a saw on a stick. Last year I almost turned myslef insto OSHA, for cutting branches from the bucket, for a shooting lane. But they are not cheap.

I have had delays with UPS's tracking. Once USPS updated to say they got it late in day. But never changed delivery day. so far Fedex has been the best. That was my only issues with USPS though. Mot are with UPS.

Read today some of Amazon's 3rd party sellers were hacked and payment funds got diverted.

...
I believe the seller sent the wrong item intentionally. They were soon removed as an amazon seller, but a Google search seemed to indicate the same address has been used by many different companies. ...

Before there was an Amazon,, I ordered a scope from a company that was advertising in all of the magazines. This was a small mom and pop business but that %^&*( sent me the wrong scope on purpose and lied about it. I eventually got what I ordered because I could hammer him with the credit card but I was ticked off at what this guy was doing. At least with Amazon, they will remove this kind of seller. I don't know if the company is still in business but his adverts were in the magazine for many years after I bought from him.

This per Internet so there really was no way to "review" the company or go after them.

Later,
Dan

For anyone complaining about internet sellers charging sales tax, you owe the sales tax to the state if the seller doesn't charge it. Even if you drive to another state that doesn't charge sales tax and buy something, you owe the sales tax to your state when you bring the item to your home. Even if that other state has sales tax, but your state's is higher, you owe your state the difference. Now individuals will probably never get audited, but businesses could be. Don't hate on anybody for collecting sales tax online unless you're hating that you have to pay the sales tax at all.

As far as Amazon Prime, I used to get offered $1 off digital orders if I chose slow shipping, and I would always choose that unless I needed the item quickly. I would even split orders up to get the offer multiple times. Now all they seem to want to offer is $5.99 off of Prime Pantry. I got that once but when I checked it out, it was $5.99 shipping per box for Prime Pantry, so I didn't use it.

What exactly is that, is it clearly seen on Amazon? for some reason I cant picture where it says, This sold by a 3rd party, tho one reason I haven't noticed it is probably because I buy mostly from ebay

Re: What's going on at Amazon? I just got anther darn Credit Card.

I signed up for the Amazon Credit Card for two reasons.
1.) 5% off Amazon purchases.

2.) Protection

Just for fun, I've been ordering stuff I really would never risk ordering on Amazon from third party sellers who advertise ridiculously low prices just to see what happens.

The order gets accepted, then a day or two later I get a notice from Amazon that the seller cannot fulfill the order for "Technical Reasons".

i.e. like it's a scam maybe?

I figure Amazon will eventually figure out a way to root out these crooks, but who knows, in the meantime maybe I'll find something both legit and a real deal.

My latest debacle has so far ended with me not getting what I ordered and Amazon telling me the seller has left the system and cannot be contacted. Tracking shows my order was delivered to the wrong state. Good thing this was only a $5 battery. I wrote Amazon and told them it wasn't much money but all the failings were why I have moved much of my business to ebay. I followed up by removing my method of payment from their system.

Just to recap I ordered a 6v sealed rechargeable lead acid battery. The seller listed at 5 bucks and Amazon showed an estimated arrival in 2 days, non prime. Turned out the battery was being shipped from China and no where in the ad did it say that. Amazon tracking shows it was delivered 3 states away, 25 days late, last Friday but the tracking number is not from any US carrier so I can't confirm.

From ebay I can see where the product is shipping from in 99% of my orders and assume the seller will ship in a timely manner. It doesn't ALWAYS work out that way but when it doesn't it is usually something I knew was coming from china and the slow shipping was a possibility. I have been pleasently surprised a few times and got stuff from the other country in less time than expected. In no case have I ever NOT received an item and been told "to bad, the seller has left the system".

I DO NOT have an axe to grind with Amazon!
In the past, I have bought many things from Amazon,....not so much anymore!
I now use Amazon for buyer feedback information, and look elsewhere on the internet to buy.
I use E-Bay frequently, and JET, or Newegg, as well as others, occasionally.
I almost always find lower prices (with free shipping) on E-Bay, or other sites.
