I have a JD355 with the 54C deck and 42" snowthrower that I am thinking of selling and I would appreciate anyone's input regarding a fair selling price. It is a 2000 model year with the 18HP Yanmar 2cyl diesel engine. It has just over 500 hours. I am the second owner, the first owner put about 300 hours on it in 6 years and I have added another 200 in the past 4. I would describe the overall condition as good. There are no major dents or damage but the first owner didn't keep it overly clean so the paint is a bit faded. Since we've owned it, it has been stored indoors. Everything works fine and both the deck and snowthrower are in good shape.
I was initially thinking $3000-3500 but I see 345's listed for $3500-4000 on a regular basis with similar hours and no snowthrower. I'm not sure how much of a premium the diesel engine adds but I would think $300-500 is not unreasonable. Fuel costs are 1/2 of what they were with the 335 (20HP gas) that it replaced.
So I'm thinking $3900-4500. Thanks in advance for any input or advice-
