I find the little JD 185 mower I currently use for my lawn much more stable than my old 8N ever felt.
On the other hand, I feel much less comfortable on slopes with the little mower. This probably relates to the lack of a ROPS on the mower whereas my tractors have always had a ROPS minimum & more typically a full cage as I tended to use them in the bush.
(Not sure whether the 8N is really a CUT or a SUB-CUT. It always seemed small even for a CUT...)
