Got a 2006 GMC sierra 3500 dually, duramax that I am planning on keeping for ever and a 2003 dodge caravan that I think will be upgraded for a newer caravan in a year or two.

I have a 2006 F350, 2007 BMW 335I, and a 2008 Nissan Titan. So my average is 6 years. I would say that is about the averave in the circle I run.

07 Vibe and a 84 Toyota pickup, puts the median at 17.5. No plans to change vehicles in the foreseeable future.

my first was a 1991 Volvo 440 on propane, 11 years ago. Since then i had two 1996 440 turbodiesels, a 1996 850TDI and now a 1998 S70 TDI. So in the past 11 years my cars went 5 years older on average. I intend to get to 500.000km before trading up (now 376.000) because A. it would be a waste to scrap such a good car and B. modern stuff doesnt tow as good as this 2.5

The wife drives a 2003 Olds Bravada (final year made in Canada, 2002 was final in USA) with a bit less than 100K and I have a 2007 Silverado Z71 with 44K. So average age is 9 years. No plans to upgrade any vehicles anytime soon. I hope to get at least 200K on each, by then who knows what will be selling 11 more years down the road. Both are garage kept 100% of the time so they are still great looking inside and out so why change. My truck has never been back to the dealer for service. The Bravada is starting to show some age with replacement of water pump, some kind of fuel tank sensor and one front wheel bearing in 14 years. Plans are to drive it till the repairs start to equal the notes on a new car, engine blows or some other catastrophic situation.

Surprisingly wife hasn't considered a new car, but has asked me about getting her own Kubota RTV after selling her golf cart (2002)
