I have a BX1500 and the strap broke with about 25 hours on the tractor. I called the dealer and he sent a new one out with service modification info sheet from Kubota. It is PSB-2003-026 dated June 26, 2003.

It basically involves grinding the sharp edges from the air cleaner bracket.

Seems to have worked so far. But at low idle, that engine sure vibrates.

Mine just broke a few weeks ago, at around 320 hours give or take. I happened to have some 10 guage aluminum I used for a boat deck laying around. I fabricated a piece of it with the exact same dimensions as the original bracket. Worked perfectly and since it's much thicker I don't think I need to worry about it breaking again.

what would be a permanent fix? Im sure that new strap I got will break as well. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
