Good news. The president who was in office when the Federal Reserve was created has finally finished his term. That's right, Woodrow Wilson's administration ended in 1921.

Yep, he's the one I was referring to. I'm not sure how you think anything has changed from back then, the federal reserve is the same. If the guy who sold it to America regretted doing it, that says a lot. Which was my point.

Go ahead and dish out your sarcasm if it makes you feel better. Sorry if making historical references hurts your brain.

Actually, I love historical references. To me they're fun. I guess I misunderstood when you had originally said that getting rid of "Federal Reserve and the president that created them" couldn't happen soon enough. I was simply pointing out that the president part was already taken care of. I honestly took your original statement as a an inference that on the current administration was responsible for Fed since he is the only one available to be removed. So, in the end- I misunderstood your statement. Mea culpa.

No worries, I blame my use of "thems'", as I'm not even sure if that is proper word usage but I couldn't think of a better usage ;)

Today Meijers is selling diesel at $3.69.9 which is lower than gasoline first time I have seen that happen locally in YEARS.

I just wish the price of unleaded would drop. It has gone up the last 4 weeks while the rest of the country has gone down with oil. Diesel dropped three days ago to as low as 3.959/gal from previous day before 4.299 but some stations are still 30 cents more go figure. Unleaded 4.219 best in area diesel same station 3.959. They are blaming it on our refinery fire 100 miles north that happened 5 months ago.

There is a core of truth to the refinery fire story. It can take a year or two to restore production. The refineries had contracts and plans for product and it's distribution. Now trucking and pipeline has to be re-routed in surrounding facilities sometimes thousands of miles away.

Well regular gas is down to $3.05 locally, and I haven't been to town recently to check diesel but I'm pretty sure the last price I saw for diesel was right around $3.51.

The way prices are going it'll be sub $3/gal pretty soon for RUG.

Imagine if the world standard to price crude oil was not the US dollar? Billions of US dollars daily would not be bought in order to purchase crude. The US dollar would drop. Some folk claim part of the reason the US invaided the middle east because some produces were accepting payment in Euro's and not US dollars.

We see now what's going on with the Euro. I figured it was a bad idea when so many switched to one type of money. They'e saying Europe could slam us right back into the 2008 economy again if something doesn't happen very quickly over there.

I paid $3.659 for Diesel. Gas was $3.599 but jumped today to $3.799 while Diesel stayed $.14 cheaper. First time in about five years Diesel was lower than gas.
