This thread reminds me of a story. . .

My brother-in-law was getting aggravated by a roaming dog that would come by daily and try to get at his chickens. He took apart a ski pole and mounted the basket (see pic) to the end of an arrow. My Brother-in-law then shot this blunted arrow at the dog with his compound bow. The shot hit him square behing the shoulder. He was horrified to see the dog fall over flat and motionless. He thought he had killed the mutt. Turns out, it knocked it cold for a few minutes. He finally came to and wandered off.

I'm not sure who learned a more valuable lesson /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I, too, can attest to the discomfort inflicted by paintballs. The first time I went out to the paintball field with my son, I used rented equipment. As you know, the face shields typically have a vertical piece of plastic that extends upward from the top of the goggles. Well. my rental unit was missing this piece. The very first game, I was struck right in the middle of my forehead that was exposed due to the missing shield. Thought I was going to pass out. Left a nice big red knot that took a few days to go away. Had to do alot of explaining the next week at work.
