On a serious note...
Since we both have old Farmall's, and my brother-in-law has a old Ford 8N, I wonder how long these newer tractors will hold up. I know this Farmall of mine has at least had a minor engine rebuild in its 59 years. It runs strong, and could work pretty hard once I get some implements.
My Kubota B8200HST is about a 1988, with 625 hours on it. Will it last 59 years with reasonable upkeep and rebuilds?
You can still get most major parts for old John Deere's and Farmall's. In 50 years will we be able to get parts for our Kubota, or New Holland, or John Deere? I know they are certianly more complicated than the older classic iron.
Will our greatgrand kids be inheriting our TC18, B8200, or 4100?
So far, I have heard of Kubota's and Yanmars from the early 70's that are still in use.
