I listened to so many renditions of this song wanting to find just the right one. I knew I had heard it done so beautifully long ago but could not capture the memory enough to remember the artist. Finally, I found it. And I knew it when I found it. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.

Merl Haggards If we make it through December. Sarah Mcglaughlin Arms of an angel [may not be a Christmas song but it is meaningful non the less], I like the softer style of music of many of the songs already mentioned but I don't really like to hear the uptempo version remakes of them usually.

Back when I was singing Bass in the choir and Men's octet a Church I bugged the music director to get that one for us, but she always said (probably right too) that we'd all be crying and unable to sing it!
