My Kubota M4900 runs about 1.2/hour when running a 6 foot medium duty Woods cutter in low 3.

When I disk my rpms are down a little and I get about 1 gallon an hour.

TC40D New Holland at cruising speed .75 gallons an hour, very reasonable in my opinion.

JD 770 25 hp diesel uses a little over .6 gals per hour at rated speed. My gasoline 17 HP Toro GT uses a little over one gallon per hour. Gotta love the diesel efficiency.

I owned an international 500c dozer which is a 10,000 lb 45 HP machine and it burned 1 gallon of diesel per hour. I know the D3 is a little bit bigger but the fuel consumption on your cat seems too high. A HP is a HP and your dozer shouldn't use much more fuel than an equal HP tractor when they are both working.

Your tractor looks to be abour right.

JD 4320 - Less than 1 gph if doing light work, but about 2 gph at PTO speed when I'm using the rotary cutter, tiller, or "earthmoving."
