Pine Ridge,
Happy New Year to you and everyone here.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I went from a 75-78 Yanmar YM1700 to an '03 TC18 bought in June of 03. Am I happy??? I can't dance that well but if I could, I'd show ya a happy dance that'd knock your socks off. Hydro, 4WD, FEL.....warranty......The only thing I miss having is the 1000RPM PTO for the Yanmar tiller I kept.

Happy New Year too all. I have a JD 4700 bought it new in July 2000. 1550+ hrs and very happy. I've had a few problems but I think all new model's have their growing pains.

A happy and prosperous new year to all! I downsized from a MF 231 to a JD 4115 in Oct. I don't think I could be any happier. I also found this forum just recently and think it is top drawer also. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I bought a LK2554 Kioti a year and a half ago - I have a 160 hours so far. I have no complaints. It works great. I use the FEL and BH quite a bit. The RFM does a great job. I bought a rear mounted snow blower this year. So far its done a very good job even with my gravel driveway. My landscape rake and box scraper do a good job at maintaining the driveway. I bought the tractor when my wife sent me out to replace our 12hp sears lawn tractor that had died. I think she had second thoughts when the new Kioti rolled up on the flat bed. She said "what's that?"
I said "That's the new lawn mower you sent me out to buy!" I better make this one last, since I don't think that trick would work a second time. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I have a B2910 Kubota...

When I bought it I thought it was on the large side.

Now, after an year and a half, it looks to me to be on the small side. So I guess I bought the perfect size for my 3.7 acres... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Also have a BX2200. I am happy with it too!

But when I think about "my pleasure" it is always the B2910/loader/backhoe that pops into my mind's eye. Sometimes It takes a moment to remember that I also have the BX /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Wow! Today is New Year's Eve!

I bought a mid-80s Kubota B7100 in August of 2002, it came with a 5' RFM and a FEL.

We use it on our 10 acres that was in pretty rough condition weed and junk wise that we bought in September of 2002. Since then we have added a 4' rotary cutter, post hole digger, box blade, drag harrow and one of those nifty 3ph trailer hitches. I have used this little tractor FAR more than I thought I would when I bought it! The thing is invaluable especially for pasture maintenance and general cleanup and chores.

I am pondering a B2410 with a FEL right now, hydro and powersteering would be nice, not to mention a little bigger size and a little more horsepower.

guess i'm the only one with old stuff lol.

'45 IH farmall A used to be my greatgrandfather's, and works like a top, mow's hay, plows snow, and splits our firewood.

'52 JD MT-W, bought it about 12 years ago, and have about $600 invested in it, including paint, oil, filters, and all the fuel we've burnt. use it for plowing the garden, disking, hauling our road grader, raking hay, and whatever else we can think of

"56 JD 420 crawler this is my grandfather's little baby, he's totally rebuilt it, including a 6 way blade. works wonders, this does all our dozing/leveling and landscaping work

'70 case 580CK backhoe, bought this 5 years ago, and it hadn't run in 15 years. after 3 month's of tinkering by my grandfather, it fired up and has been working like a top ever since. all it needs now is paint. this does all our digging and dirt moving, plus it gets hired out for the odd job. it also gets used for moving equipment and as a extra lift around our machine shop.

we also have a few homemade tractors and equipment that gets used on our 200+ acres

I have a JD 790, 5205, a Farmall M, and a Farmall Super M..

I have only been operating tractors and farming for a year or two, so I am still getting used to my machines. Right now I am very happy with all of my Tractors and attachments

My cabinet maker traded in his old JD 2wd for a BX2200. Says he never has to mow. His wife won't let him. He also says the 'bota isn't a JD.

I got my mind set on a BX1800 for my April B'day but will check out the JD2210, GC2300 and Tz18.

About settled on a FEL & 54" hog. Got a Gravely with 30" hog, sulky, snow blower, snow plow, MacKissic shredder and garden plow and cart. Will use the BX on the cart cuz the Gravely doesn't have the traction to pull it up my 30% hill out back.

I bought a Cub Cadet garden tractor about 10 years ago, it has a 54"MMM and a 48" snow blower. It is an amazing little tractor and is the most commonly used tractor we have. We have steep hills and keep 75 wheel weights and chains on the tractor all year just so it can make it up the hills, but it is also the only garden tractor we tested of any brand that would mow UP the hills without the deck turning off or the engine stopping.

About 5 years ago I bought an 1956 Oliver Super 55 Diesel just for fun. When I got it it looked like a barn had fallen on it and was painted JD green and yellow. Most of the sheetmetal was bad. It took longer than I figured to fix, but was some of the most enjoyable time I have ever spent.

Several years ago my neighbor & I bought a Kubota B2910 TLB and that machine is a true brute, never been a problem and does the work of 10 of me without aches and pains. I can't say anything bad about the tractor, in fact it is a great machine in every technical sense, but I really don't like it. I've had 4 Jeep Cherokees and now I have a Mercury Mountaineer, the Mercury is roomier and has all the toys, but it just doesn't excite me; I like the Jeep's better. That is the way I feel about the Kubota. It has power, does the job, but I'm not really a Kubota fan. I don't think I ever was. The Kubota was bought because it was the right size and it was cheaper than the competition. But cheap is not always good.

And I went to buy another Kubota this summer, but the salesman didn't return calls, despite the fact that I know the owner of the dealership on a first name basis. . . so I went to the New Holland dealer just to see . . . and . . .

My latest toy is a New Holland TC24D and I have to admit that I love this machine. I use this for mowing fields, ditch work, running a PHD, snowblower, etc. I've really spent a lot of time customizing this tractor and just playing. It is small, but very powerful for its size, every part of it fits my body, everything works the way it should, and I consider my favorite of them all. I think it became my favorite because it is more capable than I expected, doing tasks that I didn't think it could even do, and doing them with ease. If ONLY it had a cup holder, that would make it perfect!?!

But the very best thing I bought is Pat's Easy Change it allows me to use the tractors easier than ever before. I can switch implements very quickly and easily, it works with every implement I own and the ones I share with some of the neighbors. And NO, I do not earn a commission from the sale of Pat's system.
