Wheelbarrow Tires

I have a wheelbarrow and since new the tires keep loosing air. Is there a simple solution or should I just put tubes in them?

Either a tube or I have had good success with slime. You can get it most anywhere.

It probably only goes flat on the bottom, so just put that on the top and you should be okay.

......or try a can of fix-a-flat. Why not?

But first, check that it's not leaking from the valve first (the ol' spit test). Or blow tire up , flip it over and put some soap water on the treads and around the bead. Leaking air will blow bubbles, and there's your problem. This is a good way to find if the tire picked up a nail, or is leaking around the rim, etc...

A tubeless wheelbarrow tyre? Are you sure ? Never seen one of those myself, although I haven't bought a new wheelbarrow for years. Everything I have with small/narrowl wheels has tubes.

That said, I wouldn't waste time with slime in a small wheel. Put in a tube.

That's what I did, and have never regretted it. Got tired of fixing flats here where Locust and Osage Orange make a lot of thorns. The solid tire doesn't not ride as nice as the air filled tire in my estimation. But now that I have a FEL, the wheelbarrow isn't used that much...thank goodness.

Get a foam filled one at Harbor Freight. I got tired of flats so fixed two of them.

My old wheelbarrow is over 20 years old and the original tire would never stay aired up. I finally bought a new tire and rim at Lowes for I think about $12 but that was over 5 years ago. I haven't used it much since then, mostly it just leans against the wall of my shop, but the tire is still aired up and I haven't put any air in it since I got it.

My wheelbarrow came with a tube in the tire, but it still didn't like holding air. I put some liquid laundry starch in it. Liquid laundry starch does the same thing as slime, but costs about $2 a quart. Works great, I put it in the tires on my riding mower too.
