Power Trac PT1430 Year made 2016
I’ve been trying to find wheels for the 1430 and have found them hard to come by. A tire place near me that specialises in AG tires has come up empty on finding some. None of their vendors carry ones with the same offset. It’s easy to find ones that stick to the outside 1 1/2” more. I called down to Power Trac And they don’t recommend having wheels on these machines that stick out past further than the stock wheels, because of putting too much leverage on the wheel motor shaft.

It looks like I’m going to end up buying new wheels off of Power Trac.

Have any of you out there bought aftermarket wheels for your PT?

I looked at one point, and PT seems to have some rather special rims. I couldn't find any ready made, though I recall finding a company that would make wheels to order.

As the wheels get a wider stance, the axles (seals) get leveraged increasing the chances for wear and failure. Terry said it was worst on slopes (downhill side), which makes sense, and where I was wanting the wider stance.

All the best,

Peter

Yeah, that makes sense.

I made wheel adapters and have used different rims on mine. They stick out further but not nearly as far as the outer wheel of a dual wheel setup would be. But that gives me more room for tractor chains.

For my 1845 I put on single wheels instead of the duals that it originally had. I ended up buying the wheels from Power Trac to get the right offset and the wheels were cheaper than I could find anywhere else, even if the offset was not the same elsewhere.

This is one of those cases where to save a few dollars I’m going around and trying to get the same wheels at a cheaper price, but at the end of the day it’s not worth all the hard work and effort and I still come up empty in the end. So, for me to buy the wheels off Power Trac is the way to go. It gives them business too, helps them keep the business open.
