My D slows down from 19.9mph to about 15mph when going down hill on our road in cruise or with pedal to the metal, then it returns to top speed??? It happens 2 or 3 times in about 1/4 mile.. Going up the road it maintains 12mph in cruise without a similar problem? I contacted my rep. but he had never heard of it and said he would e-mail his district manager

It sounds like transmission braking.

Mine runs normal 18 mph up an incline and 20 mph down the other side, they should check yours out. When you have it in high on level ground and the pedal all the way down with low rpm and increase your rpm, does it seem to studder in its acceleration at mid throttle?

Only had my D a couple days but it has the studder at mid throttle in road gear like Panther describes.

The ride is great. My old C seemed to bottom out when on a corrigated road at mid to high speed. I definately don't need a spring seat.

Also I like the way the D digs in and keeps digging. You can actually kill the engine if you don't ease up on the hydraulics. The C would groan and moan and seem to just slip.

The suspension isn't cushy at all with a load like I anticipated.

I had a problem with air lock in the cooling system but worked it out as soon as the thermostat opened. The engine actually cut off completeley before it ever overheated.

the "c" comparisons are very helpful.

when i loose traction it is because one of the 2 front tires spin and then my forward motion is lost when filling the bucket or trying to scrape/back drag. Do you get the sense on the new d that this has been solved. i have heard the new computer alogrithm/engineering has addressed this issue by sending the flow to the tire that needs it to prevent spinning. the 4 wheel steer limits the abilities of any "locking" front differential.

thx

When I push into a pile of gravel or rock in "work" mode all four tire seem to spin evenly no matter how much weight I put in the bucket the tires just keep diggin.

I do not have the fluctuating speed that Panther and dakota-2000 has?
The salsman was here yesterday to check out the following issues and he is bringing back next Monday to fix them

Ceiling panel hanging down

Safety lock missing on dump bed

Fluctuating speed driving down hills at full speed

Tailgate gap filling with gravel

Speakers to be relocated

Tailgate handles too short-also pin is long on passenger side

Rear glass is crooked

Passenger door needs adjustment

Tight hand throttle

Rattle in body at 3/4 throttle

Mower rubbing on it's back plate
