I called Jimmy Anderson, the Bush Hog sales manager, again on Tuesday. He recommended that I talk to my dealer or another dealer about trading the M246 in for another FEL. So, once again, he was making it clear that it was between me and my dealer. I told him that it amazes me that Bush Hog is not willing to do anything to help. I told him (as I have many times before) that Bush Hog reps told me things when I was researching the M246 that turned out not to be true and re-iterated about the extra mounting brackets. He said that I was the dealer's customer and that the dealer needs to settle it with me. So, I told him that my dealer, John and Davis Equipment, is Bush Hog's customer and that Bush Hog needs to work with their customer as well. That seemed to sink in because Jimmy Anderson said, with a sound of exasperation in his voice, that "the best thing to do then is to take it back" and he is going to call John and arrange it! I said "thanks", and I asked him who was going to cover the cost. He said that he would work that out with my dealer (John). I told him "thank you for your help" and that was then end of the conversation.
So, I waited all day yesterday hoping to hear from John at Davis Equipment, but never did. Today, I called Davis Equipment to talk to John and find out if Jimmy Anderson had called. But, as luck would have it, John is on vacation this week and won't be back until Monday. I asked the guy who answered the phone if he knew whether or not Jimmy Anderson from Bush Hog called yesterday and he said yes and he was the one who took the message. So, at least Jimmy Anderson did call Davis Equipment. But, now I have to wait until Monday before I can get any further with actually returning the FEL.
