When is the last time you had rain and how much?

Here are a photo's of the corn behind my house. The leafs are starting to curl. We need rain.

We just had almost 4" of rain in about 1/2 hour here and it is still raining. Bad flooding with road closures in a lot of local areas. Hope you get some rain but not this much this quick. The good thing is it broke the heat wave we were having with heat in the high 90's and matching humidity.

Since the middle of May it has rained all but about 8 days. At times we have had over 4" in a couple of hours. The water table is so high the ground can't hold any more. NY has had flooding all over the place, roads washed out. Spring crops that weren't planted didn't get planted, much of what did has areas that were washed out. Very little dry hay has been put in, mostly forage around here.

We average 40" of rain a year here in NE Oklahoma. Tulsa is over 7" below normal and OKC 100 miles to the west we hear is 6"-7" above their average.

Our last rain was 6/17 with just over 1 1/2". Hay meadows were cut but nothing growing. My Bermuda grass pastures and yard are post toasties. Both ponds are down 60 percent.

This is the 3rd summer of drought. I'm on the + side of 70 years old and this is the worst I've even seen. **** we had no snow last winter. Not even a usual ice storm.
