When is the last time you had rain and how much?

We've gone through a real drought here in northeastern Oklahoma, as have many others it seems. This summer, we had an inordinate amount of rain, however, and I believe we are now off the drought list and back to a "normal" situation. Temps have also been cooler this summer. The rain was so persistent, my hay cutting was delayed for several weeks. Finally managed the cut and pulled 237 4x6 bales off 88 acres. Unlike last year, there seems to be an abundance of hay available and that has lowered the price from 50+ to the lower 40s.

We will not be able to cut a third cutting of hay it is to dry. We already started to feed the cows hay we will be running out of hay this coming winter.

I just got done 3 days ago doing the first cut, been raining or showering every 2-3 days since the first week of july, it never did let up. i baled the last bale in the rain.
I didn't keep track of how much rain i got but the puddles in the driveway never dried up in two months..i just wanted it to stop.

Over 20mm so far today and it doesn't look like letting up 'til Friday. I've got a wee moat in front of the shed so I'll be reluctant to take the tractor out for a 'spin'... It'd more likely be a 'bog'.

Oh, well. There's plenty of indoor chores to do and it is early Spring.

We had another 3/4 of an inch today. It is so nice to see rain. I know that the growing season is just about over but at least the moisture in the ground are being replenished for next year.

After a long dry spell I poured 3.6" out of rain gauge this AM. WOO-HOO Thank you Lord

Jim I am glad you guys down there finally got a good rain. We got just a bit over 1.5 inches last night.
