Never considered reinstalling the lugs. I got the engine running. I went to the local co-op and picked up 2 old truck tires and two rear tractor tires. Used a sawsall to cut the tread out of each and bolted it to the steel rims. Found out driving it on asphalt that there wasn't much shock absorber in 1" of tread!
We ended up moving and I had no space for the tractor, so I gave it to a buddy of mine.
The tractor was a Monster. The frame was one piece CAST from the front radiator mount to the rear differential lower half. Radiator weighed like 200 lbs. In it's day, I'm sure it was a nice tractor............
