yea the torqshift is a good trans but that allison is really nice wouldnt that be nice a dodge Cummins with a 6speed allison and a chevy locking dif..

All that needs to be in the Ford Chassis. Now you would have one good truck. By the way that locking diff is a Eaton. You can get them for any modern truck for about $350.

I'm here with a '94 12-valve stick-shift 2WD 2500 with.....38,000 miles... :). Thas right...38K miles. Me dear old Pappy's truck. Bare bones, a little battered, but, surprisingly for upstate NY, very little rust....and mid 20's mileage, if I'm careful.

Love the racket that thing makes.

But they come standard on the GM HD's. ;)

And they blow away the ford l/s. :)

And $350 won't pay for a G80 installed.

Anyway, back to Cummins. I am a fan of the 5.9, especially the 12 valve. A guy who lives down the road from me specializes in them. He has a pulling truck running about 85 inches of boost. It has propane and nitrous injection also. He will never tell me the real numbers but his dad hinted to about 850HP and something like 1,400# of torque. That thing is a monster.

We fight over trucks like myself and some on this site. The one thing we do have in common is he loves the Ford chassis and the 7.3 and 6.0 Power Strokes. He is a Cummins man though and gives the GM guys as much flack as I do.

He is one of the best Cummins guys in the country. Here is his site:http://www.davesdiesel.com/

Nissan actually had a locker a few years back in the Titan. I guess they still have it. I was very interested in a Titan until I tried to deal with them on price. The locker they had was electric and actuated via a push button in the cab.

What would you want to buy a Titan for???

I currently have 3 trucks and 1 car. 2 are diesel, a 2004 F-250 and a 2006 F-350. My wife was in need of a vehicle to get around in and her 2003 V8 Mountaineer was just not cutting it in the 4 wheel drive dept, lack of ground clearance. I told her to go drive all the 1/2 ton trucks and narrow it down. I would then make a deal. Anyway she like the Titan, F-150, and the Tundra. The Titan and Tundra dealers did not want to make any deals so we ended up with the F-150 but at that time in 2006 the Titan was at the top of my list. The dealer actually let me take it on a 50 mile trip pulling a customers 31' Rinker boat that weighed about 9,500#. I was really impressed with how it handled the load both on the highway and at the boat ramp. I had had a 2001 F-150 and a 2005 Dodge 2500 with the Hemi and the Titan stomped all over both of them. Here is a pic of the boat I towed with it.

Well as Im all for taking the EPA crap off i wouldnt do it myself number one you cant pass emissions and yea im sure someone will say you can put it back on well thats just a pain in the butt.. My buddy has two brand new 6.7 cummins ones a 3500 dually personal truck/work truck and a new 5500 dump truck for work.. also has a 2004 5.9.. the 6.7 has been a great motor so far no probs what so ever its been to the dealer once to get the new flash for it the 3500 is a 6speed auto and the 5500 is a G56 6speed standard both are great transmissons.. I just picked up a 2006 cummins which was wrecked but restored to better condition IMO the frame was not hurt so thats was my major worry.. THe cummins is a great motor emissons or no emissons.. and when Caterpillar gets off the Road they will Be number 1.. cant wait to see that..

**** what is that, like 3 trucks in less than a month. You had the black 04 for like what, 2 weeks. And what happened to the JD 2320?, flipped that off too. Like I said, you have, "want, want, want" issues.
