I bought my 2216 last year with R4's, thinking it's a good all-around tire to have, but found that I'm doing more mowing than anything else. I want to keep my R4's and would like to get another set of rims with turf tires so I can switch when I need to.

I'm having trouble with my local dealer who basically ignores my repeated inquiries... what are my options? Googled the tire sizes but haven't found a single source for the tires, nevermind the rims to go with them.

Anyone out there who can help? Thanks.

Try Carlisle Tire and Wheel on the net. Do you have any local auto tire companies nearby? If so, they might be able to help you. I have one by me, and they handle auto, lawn and garden tractors, ag tractors, semi tractors, atv, motor cycles, etc. Just a thought.

Makes me wonder why some people go into business. Most successful business people are there because they love what they do, and want to provide a service or product.

This brings to light an old question I've had in my head seeing some pictures here of what people can do with turfs. I'm not sure but turfs with chains may just be the most versatile combination one can achieve in the c.u.t world. I use mine skidding wood mostly and have ags on but what a mess it creates to put this thing on the lawn. Not sure the tractor would have been any less efficient with loaded turfs and chains for the hard work and w/o the chains for the occasional lawn work.
Maybe you would feel you don't have to go back to to the R4's and perhaps match up a set of turfs to your present wheels if possible and just purchase chains for the turfs if you have the need for more traction. Wish I could do that with mine but getting parts for a 25 yr old JD 750 is getting more and more difficult.
