Where did the name come from

In the early days of television, a familiar face on Sunday evenings was Steve Allen. The comedian hosted a variety show “ The Steve Allen Show” that played opposite The Ed Sullivan Show. On the show was a snobbish character that always greeted him by belting out: Hi-Ho, Steverino! and this was picked up and became a national catchphrase. Steve Allen also later wrote a book by that name.

Having the given first name of Steven and the middle name of Alan (different spelling), I have over the years been warmly greeted in that manner on many-many occasions. Hence I chose it for my moniker here on TBN!

The dentist scene was worse. That sort of thing is why suicide pills were invented. Separate subject, but I learned late in life that I knew a few people who were spooks. Well....by the time I learned they were ex-spooks.

Seems like I remember one of those day time game shows would give away a Jaguar XKE if you picked something right. It was a long time ago and don't remember. I'm thinking it was Let's Make A deal or The Price Is Right?
