Where did the name come from

Interesting thread. I'll bet this one will keep popping it's way back up to the top of the "Unrelated Topics" forum for a long, long time to come :)

It would easily be the largest thread on TBN if EVERYONE who is registered would tag it.

I have a 1969 Jaguar XK-E that I restored from ground up, so that makes my name fairly obvious too I guess..........anyone who would like to read the saga of the three year restoration can go to my Cardomain site at [url=http://www.cardomain.com/ride/505677[/URL]] David's Jaguar
WOW! That's a great story. I highly recommend people visit Dave's site.

That is one gorgeous car and you did great work. Do you still have the car?

I too have found it very interesting. I have laughed at some of the ways members have come up with their names and you can also find out more about members like their hobbies and interest. Some are obvious and some a total surprise.

I am now wondering about 3RRL... is he a rich guy that owns:

3 RailRoad Lines...

Yes, I still have it..Don't drive it enough tho. When I did the work I was living in San Diego; here in KC the climate is not very friendly to this old car. It get's way too hot for a black/black car with no A/C that's prone to running a little hot anyway, and it rains, snows, sleets, hails, tornados and so on the rest of the time...........:D

Thanks for the props, MikePA. It was a lot of work as you can imagine, but I learned a lot from the experience, including some skills that I still use today.

Here's where I'm at with the car today, for those who want to read along, this is a link to the other forum I belong to, and where I spend most of the rest of my online time..........

Not to steal Rob's thumder, but sometimes you can deduce these things.
Rob's 3RRL is probably Three Rivers (where his land is) Rob L (his name).

My computer use goes way back to the mainframe days and email before
the Internet and I never was into that alias stuff. User IDs had to be
short and easy to type in and easy to tell who is writing you. Just your
name.
