Where do you keep your tractor?

Mine is in a 40 X 60 unheated quanset hut. Wish I had room in the heated garage 30 X 30 but too much other junk right now.

In the pic, if that's your garage and that's your tractor, I can see why it stays outside

First off, it wouldn't fit inside the container. I also even if it did, I don't want to remove/attach the rotarty cutter each time I want to use it. Finally, I keep my skidsteer and other assorted items in the container.

Someday I plan on building a large pole barn in this location.

Dave,
That's exactly what I was thinking when I (jokingly) said I can see why it stays outside.

I bought one of those 10x20 enclosers they sell at Sam's for $200.00. The structure is 2" galvanized poles and it is covered on the roof and all four sides.

It has been up a year now and has worked really well. I use the tractor year round as it just does not get that cold here is this part of Texas. I wanted it mainly to keep the sun and rain off the tractor and so far it has been money well spent.

Kubota B2910 - sits outside
NH TC24 - in the garage
Ventrac 3000 - in the garage
Implements for the above 3 tractors are in the garage with the exception of the JD 71 Flex Planter, that is currently parked with the Cub Cadet, I'll move it to the house garage in the spring when I actually need to use it.
I keep my cars in the garage along with 5 bikes, 2 scooter, and more assorted crap than I care to sweep around but the lovely Mrs_Bob won't let me throw it away.

Cub Cadet 1862 - in the garage at my other property
Trailer for the tractor - sits outside at my other property

New Holland TC18... in my attached garage, next to Mrs AndyM's car.
Ford 8N... outside with a lovely blue tarp over it
Ford 2N... in my father's garage, 50 miles away
AndyM's car, pickup truck, and van... outside in the driveway /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
brush hog, box blade, trailer... all outside /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
finish mower... in the garage (it cost more than my other implements and attachments)
rear blade... outside, until winter, then it's attached to the NH for driveway plowing

When is the price of OSB coming back down so I can build my pole building to house all of this stuff?

I park mine in the unheated, but fairly warm, garage on the basement level of the house. It seldom goes below 50 down there so I don't see any problems starting it this winter. Had to loose the canopy due to the additional height to clear the garage door header, but I'd probably destroy it in the woods anyhow. The ROP clears the header by a massive 1/4", a little less without any attachments on the 3 point, but hey a miss is a mile right?

I parked my back hoe in the back barn this past month, where i keep my OLD cougar (74 XR7) dirt floor area and was once a cattle stall. anyhow it backed in great with a good 3/8" to spare but comming out with out the back hoe I forgot to go slow and well errr um lets just say it was still 3/8" differance but in the WRONG dirrection! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif the rub marks on the barn & ROPS will eventually go away. I cleaned & leveled the dirt floor using the box blade which was also heavy enough to get the tractor in there with out rubbing if it was RAISED so I figure I ripped out a good 1" of dirt and leveled it figuring I would clear comming out with the tractor unloaded of any impliments and well I was mistaken /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Something for others to THINK about as I think a few of you store stuff inside with the tractor and MAY take off the added weight while in there...

We had our pole barn constructed with 12 foot ceilings and 10 foot doors so the TC-40D SS has always had a home. We have never had to worry about the canopy being damaged due to low clearance issues.
