Where do you park/store your tractor?

In the first pic that's where the (I bought new) 1978 B7100DT spends the winter, in the summer that's where the 2012 L3540HST with FEL and BH sits.

In the winter the L3540HST is in the shop, heated only when I do snow clean up.

My 2004 Kubota L5030hstc has been stored in a car port with dirt floor. No rust what so ever.

It probably varies lot by region. Around here, any garage or barn without a concrete floor is wet inside, especially in springtime. I've seen some so bad that the joist hangers under the rafters have rusted away, from the moisture coming up out of the ground and trapped against the underside of the roof.

I stored one of my trailers for a year or two in one such garage, and eventually concluded it was better off outdoors, in our climate! :ROFLMAO:

all my equipment sits in a gravelled floor pole barn. Sliding doors in front and open windows in back. No rust even on the older equipment or the newer powder coated stuff.

How close are you to the Bay Fundy / Ocean??

I always wondered how much more rust stuff near the oceans get??
I lived most of my life on the coast, in Richmond B.C., a suburb of Vancouver. My experience is that my travel trailer winters better, here in the centre of the province, with just sitting untouched, than It did there with a little heat, water absorbing crystals, and opening windows every few days when there was no rain.

In a decrepit, dirt floor barn….but it’s the best I can do.

Id wager, a dirt floor barn on a proper grade, would be fairly dry.

Here in Nevada the sun is the big destroyer, not rust. According to the National Weather Service so far this calendar year we've received just over 3" of precipitation. Most times the humidity hovers around the single digits. I put up a 100' x 30' pole barn, just a dirt floor, to protect my "stuff" from the sun. It is open to the north as all of our major storms (mostly wind) come from the south. Everything with tires, including trailers, is parked in the pole barn out of the sun's reach.

The contractor that did my pad, has a pole barn that came with the house he bought and the grade is wrong. The frost cracked the concrete bad and is tearing the barn apart in one place.

In fact when the PB company did my barn I told the foreman that the ribbon on that stake is the grade. I came back later when they were putting up the greenboard and I asked them about the grade stake. They said they didn't use it, so I told them to tear the greenboard down and do it over, which they did.

That foreman did other things wrong, I just bit my tongue and said to myself anything they screw up they will fix. If my older brother was the owner, he would have been on the phone with corporate screaming.
