I have been eyeing my shed (actually part of my garage) as a place to store my as yet to be purchased tractor. After determining that it would fit in all 3 dimentions I realized that those dimensions did not include the FEL. Add to that a BH and the shed is no longer a viable alternative (much to the relief of my JD LT). Then I got to wondering, where do you, TBN tractorphiles, store your rigs? I am sure the answers will be as varied as the tractors themselves.

I keep mine in a pole shed. It is enclosed on three sides.

My tractor is about an '87. I have had it six years. Although I have parked it inside most of that time, it sat ou before I got it. Although it is in great shape, the paint is definitely sun faded. I had to replace the back tires because they were weather checked and splitting. Had a nail in the side wall; tire store wouldn't touch them because the sidewall was in poor shape.

The sun will really tear things up! Other weather does not help either, but the sun really bakes things like rubber parts...

I store my L3430 in one of those overseas shipping containers. Good solid protection and secure. Size 8'x20'... Keep the implements under cover in two 12'x20' plastic garages. I HATE TAXES....

A three-sided shed that was built onto my great grandfather's old cabin next door to my current home. Planning on a new aluminum three-space "carport" in the future, or an enclosed metal building. Not sure yet. John

Anywhere I can!

Lets see. I have a minty parade queen allis chalmers G that actually stays in the main house garage.. ( while my truck and wifes car setoutside).

I keep my JD B and ford 2N out in the horse barn, in a 12x20 open ended section next to a stall. My International cub, ford NAA, and Ford 8n live in a little tin roof lean-to shack I built out of 2x4 framing, and then walled in the sides using fence boards.., roofing tin up top. Looks kinda 3rd world.. but keeps the rain, and most of the wind off the tractors.. and give me a bit of room to work on them... it's about 16x26.

Back in the pasture, I've got a 10x18 tarp covered tube frame for my ford 660 with 1 arm loader, and right next to that is a 10x30 tarp/tube frame with my Nh 7610s and 10' mower and 2 horse trailer. The end of the mower hangs out a couple feet.. but that's fine..

For short tractors.. that little tin roof lean-to I built works great. Started out as an 8x8 and i kept adding on to it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Only cost a tad for an 8x8 setion.. when you spread it out over time... I think those tarp canopies end up being cheaper though.. just depends on how the tarps hold up...
