Where does your day end???

Junkman,
What is all this talk of cable boxes ? Will they run on kerosene ? I hope to get electricity someday, it gets tedious keeping putting kerosene in my multifuel PC.

That's a beautiful area, but I lose a lot trying to scroll around the picture. I'm running a 1024x780 monitor and I still can't see it all on one screen. Try resizing it to 800x600 and posting it as an attachment, and then we could see it all at once.

I love this thread Henro! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Sorry it got hijacked into a cable discussion. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif But, here's where I like to end the day. Can't wait to see other members favorite places.

Surprised we haven't seen any pictures of pubs and bars, yet. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Henro,
Just beautiful!!
Did you dig that pond?
If I make one my back yard would look pretty close to yours.

When it's hot, I end up here... at least until I can dig a real one. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Bird,
My coax was recently installed too. I used up some old wire and then some new. Luck of the draw for the older copper one which ended up where it did.

I thought mine was working before too. The tech said maybe the wire got nicked or maybe it was from the heat. Said there was loss on the cable. (He hooked up some gizmo at both ends.

I haven't pulled a silver wire down to the room yet to test. Too hot in the attic.

Hope it all goes well,
Neil.

If it's susceptible to heat and/or humidity, there's a definite possibility. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif At least it's nearly killed me. I worked outside from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. yesterday mowing, edging, trimming, etc. and was almost overcome by the heat; gettin' too old, I guess.

We're now renting a lot in a mobile home park, and there are some drainage concerns with a few low spots where water tends to stand when we have a heavy rain, so I've been telling the manager the last few months that we need 1 to 2 yards of sand or sandy loam. I sold my pickup awhile back, and didn't really think I should have to buy the dirt myself anyway, but now I wish I had, because yesterday morning, they dumped about 5 yards of clay for me. I guess clay's better than nothing, but I only spent a couple of hours on it this morning; decided not to overdo it like I did yesterday. Temperature right now is 97 and our humidity is down to only 39% and no breeze to even move a leaf. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

It's been hot around here Bird. Yesterday wasn't too bad. I got a couple of hundred feet of pipe laid out and welded up. But the day before I mixed eight mixer loads, almost three yards, setting thirty plus posts. It was tuff.

In this heat I can only go half as far and it takes twice as long. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Up to about fifty I would just buck up and grab a lower gear. Now I fold the tent, tuck the tail firmly between legs, and head for the shade. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Bird, just moving sand in this heat is a "killer." Moving/spreading clay is tractor work for sure. Don't overdo it! This weekend will be much cooler.

I know you are missing your tractor now. I wish I was closer so I could loan you mine. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
