Well, a nice Comcast service man showed up this morning about 9:30 a.m., checked the cable at one of the converter boxes and said "weak signal". So he went out to the pedestal from which cables go to various homes, said he found a loose connection and tightened it, and that he moved our cable to another "port" and would report the weak signal on the port we had been on for someone else to check. Both TVs worked fine.
Now the Internet service had been working fine all along, but after we got the TVs working, we had to go somewhere, and I didn't check the computer. Got back about 2:30 p.m. and no Internet connection. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I called Comcast again and the man there said he'd send a message to the dispatcher to send a technician back out; that he apparently fixed one thing and broke something else. Then about 5 p.m., the TV converter box quit working again, so I came and checked and had an Internet connection again. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Still no one had called or shown up from Comcast, so my wife stayed home while I went to a meeting this evening. I got back and the Internet is still working, and most, but not all, the channels on the TV work. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif And we still haven't heard from Comcast, but I sure got behind trying to read all the posts on TBN today. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
