Where is everyone getting the Christmas hams?

How much for one? Seriously.

Not for sale....we just put away enough for us. But they aren't hard to do. We raise and home butcher a couple of pigs/year and I got into brine curing my hams (way less salty than traditional dry cured 'country ham'), also bacon.

I like the picnic shoulder ham better than the butt ham personally.

Still have a cousin that raises hogs as did my grandfather...

They really have great tasting pork and pork sausages and their limited output is spoken for in the community.

We were going to visit with my nieces in tow... and my cousin warned us that they were butchering that day and making sausage... just didn't want there to be any problems.

My brother didn't think it was a good time to go... but sister in law didn't see the problem and the girls really wanted to see their farm second cousins...

It was a great day and the kids took it all in stride... they waited to take turns making sausage and each had a signature platter...

Kids can and often surprise you in a good way... plus their farm cousins were so excited because their dad said they could eat all the sausage they made.

Oh my! I just had leftover Christmas ham on my wife's dinner rolls from last nights dinner.

Yum! Yum! I sorta feel sorry for those that don't eat or like pork. Sorta. Leaves more for me!
