Called the JD dealer. No dye. Have to order it.
Had my boss check with a MF dealer while he was there. No dye, but thought it was a great idea????
Bought a $20 siphon pump on-line supposedly good for sucking engine oil out.
Stuck the tube in the "gear box" through the add hole.
Had the two empty jugs from the oil I added.

Once again I am looking for my dunce hat.
I drew almost all the oil out that I put in last fall and last week. About 1 litre short .

Ended up with this and have now joined the ranks of apparently hundreds of others duped by
invisible oil levels.

All good now. (I'm still going to get some JD dye at some point. I think. Of course there's still
that warranty issue.)

Thanks for the suggestions all.

I bought my JD dye off eBay. Is that available to you in Ontario? You can add it to the fluid already in there than run it a few minutes to mix.

Just checked. Available, but twice the price for shipping than what the product is.

I bought "Color Coding Dye Red 4 oz. SKU: 226-CXG-45H150"
Pretty sure it was recommended here.
Was $21+tax three years ago from Color Coding Dye Red 4 oz. MPN:506250-R4 they may still be the best price

You use so little of it that 4oz will last me forever

Now that I have clearly noticed what the site glass looks like with the proper level, I will
have less trouble.
At some point, I will stumble on some dye and grab it. (I always wait for stuff and it almost always falls in
my lap eventually.
If I get to a 50 service I'll use the TYM colored fluid as the replacement.

Good questions and answers………
My new Yanmar was hard to detect, too. So I added a bit, maybe 1/2 qt, to see if anything changed. It didn’t.
I notice sometimes when working with loader/grapple, fluid level will drop into NORMAL and the color of the indicator is a true WHITE when not covered. I also notice the pump is louder even though the sight glass shows NORMAL. I spoke with dealer/mechanic and was told 20% over normal level is safe as you are removing and adding different implements; loader removed for shredding, adding grapple, etc.
