where to buy BX2200 with backhoe?

Hi
I am a new member and have been following the forums with interest and have decided to purchase a bx2200 with FEL,mid mower and backhoe for my small lifestyle block. I live outside Los Angeles and am having trouble finding one. Could any one recommend some dealers in or near LA who may sell this type of thing? I am after a second hand one with low hours. The BX2200 does not have a factory backhoe. Some have found aftermarket backhoes for them.

The original unit with a BH is the BX22. It's replacement is the BX23 I think.

You are looking for a BX22 or a BX23 (not BX2200) if you are looking for backhoe units. However, used units are few and far between, as they are very popular, and they tend to hold their value, and are priced very close to new ones. Chances are better that you'll find a used one out-of-state, either on Ebay or from a Kubota dealer that may have a demo sitting around, but by the time you factor in shipping, you may find that your best bet is to buy a new BX23 with 0% financing, if its being offered.

As to where to buy in So Cal, I'm sure you'll be getting plenty of suggestions from TBN members in your area.

As the boys mentioned you want a BX23. I have the BX2230 and it's the same size tractor but the frame on the BX23 allows the BH to be added.
For cost the BX2230 is in the 12-13,000 range and the BX23 you need is about 15,500-16,500 on average. But everything in CA is more expensive so who knows out there.

Yep, the guys are right. The BX2200 doesn't come with a backhoe. The BX22 and its replacement the BX23 do. The BX2200 and its replacement, the BX2230, however, can be fitted with a sub-frame mounted backhoe from Woods, the Groundbreaker X line, model bh6000. Most people will recommend not putting any other type backhoe on a BX2200 or BX2230, for numerous reasons that I won't go into here. If there's some reason you really want a BX2200 and a backhoe, you can see the Woods backhoe by clicking below. I think most everyone here would agree, however, for many reasons, that it would be a lot better simply to get a new BX23 with its integrated easy-on easy-off backhoe.

I saw a used BX22 on a dealers lot in MA this week that had 905 hours on the clock. He wanted $12500 for the unit and that was a firm price. He was of the impression that they sold for $19K and claims that the $12500 is what he gave the owner in trade. All that I can say is that he doesn't know the selling prices of the competition to the brand that he sells. He claims that most of the 905 hours were at idle since the owner never shut the machine down once he started it in the morning. It is a 2003 machine. Cost to ship it across country would probably be about $1000.

I own a bx22. If you go to kubota.com
I found three dealers within 100 miles of LA. The bx22/ bx23 is the tractor that comes with a loader and backhoe. good luck david.
