Where to buy hydraulic cylinder seal kits

The place I go to for cylinder seals has yet to NOT have what I need. Have been going there for years. I can re seal a few cylinders for $250. They do a lot of mail order business.

Must depend on location. I just had a cylinder rebuilt for the hay grapple at a shop in Tyler, Texas. Cost was $100.

You might try ebay, especially if you have the OEM part number to cross check. I did that for my Bobcat lift cylinders, under $30 for both, and look exactly like all the other online kits.

If you know the brand and model of your cylinder, I’d suggest looking at Bonded Seal Pack Hydraulic Seal Kit BSPP BONDED SEALS. They specialize in parts for farm equipment and often have hard-to-find kits. For custom or rare seals it is a good option. If you’re in a pinch, local hydraulic repair shops can often rebuild or source the seals directly - sometimes faster than online options.

No, kit only. I can watch youtube and do it myself. Messicks has seal kits 51.00 each.

I've had 2 cylinders rebuilt by a shop $44 and $600. 3 hours round trip and seems to be the go to place for 100 mile radius. I'm trying to find another one as have many cylinders to rebuild and need to learn to do myself. I can't afford those prices. They do a good job and they come back with warranty. And their insurance covered a mistake they made which resulted in me have an entire JD 245 loader assembly for backup.

I have to put new seal kits in my boom hydraulic cylinders and the New Holland dealer wants 250.00 each kit. Is there somewhere that is cheaper??

Seals are mostly just seals. OEMs usually do not have seals custom molded but instead go to an outfit like Greene Tweed and get as set of off the shelf seal stack and fit the piston and rod to that standard dimension. I go to a hydraulic shop that rebuilds cylinders and sells parts. I take old seals, cylinder and piston in hand and let the girls pick out a set of seals for me. Works every time.

For the Komatsu, JCB and a few others I get OEM seals from a parts outfit in Floriduh called Ontrack.

My seal experience that is not equipment is oilfield stuff up to 20,000 psi and and 350 degrees F or sub-freezing and cycling. The thermal cycling is the hard part.

Good luck but don't pay $250 for a set of seals.
