Where to connect hydraulic lines

/ Where to connect hydraulic lines #11
Well I bought the adapter plate and hooked everything up and it works like a charm. Now the only thing missing is snow. Thanks for the replies. One more question; if i decide to unhook the valve when i dismount the plow, do i plug the in/out ports on the sandwich adapter plate or do i need to keep the flow there?

I believe when the input and output hoses from the plate are not being used, you have to connect them together, other wise the 3pt wont work. I'm not sure if it would cause any damage to the pump though. I have one of those plates to run my FEL and it works great. I haven't taken the FEL since i bought it, but have it burned in my mind that if I do I have to plug those two ports together.. They are pretty adamant about that in the instructions.

The sandwhich plate must have flow thru.. so ports in and out tied.

OK that makes sense. I'll probably just take the whole thing (plate and all) off at the end of winter. Thanks for all the help.

I got to actually plow snow yesterday with it (about 6") and it worked really good. I'm just waiting now for some real snow to see how it does:)

If you use QC's on the plate you could make up a short hose to use when plow is off tractor.
