Where to eat in Tucson AZ - Mexican or Steak?

Outstanding Mexican. North East side of town, I think. Sorry, don't have an address, but any Tucsonian will know it.

Here's a couple we really liked when we lived there.

Casa Molina on Speedway Blvd or Macayo's on Broadway. Casa Vallarta had the best Carne Seca in my opinion. All three are on the East side of town. Mi Ninito, not sure on that spelling, is a really good place on the West side. That's the place Clinton went when he breezed through town and is also very good.

Speaking of that, make sure you give Carne Seca a try. It's a beef that is dehydrated and then re-hydrated when put into a food item. It's sort of like pot roast. I usually got it in a burrito and had them make it enchilada style with sauce on top. I also really miss the green corn tamales! Makes me hungry just thinking about it!!!

For mexican I'd recommend El Charro (Broadway/Wilmot, Tucson classic) or Papa Gayo (Sunrise/Swan)... you'll probably be closer to El Charro. La Prailla Suiza is another classic that everybody recommends. Hard to choose since there are so many. If you want more than two, let me know. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

For steak, I heard that McMahon's Grill (Swan/Ft. Lowell) is good, but never went. I never had a steak in Tucson worth going back for a second time.
