Check into Kipor generators. There Chinese clones of Honda. All the parts are interchangeable and there half the price.
just a thought that I have read on other forums that ppl have done..
Get 2 eu2000's if you can afford it.. Much lighter/easier to move two 50lb. generators around than one 134 lb one. Together they will give you more power than the eu3000. also if you dont need the full power you can only run one and save on gas..
just a thought

Thought I would mention to those who haven't heard about this that you can add an auxillary fuel tank to all of these small Honda's for extended run capability.
You can use an outboard motor portable fuel tank and a mating connector fastened to a Honda fuel cap. By extending the vent to the portable tank it will draw fuel into the generators tank. You can still use the tank for the outboard too. This will also work for those using two generators and increases your runtime.
Use the Vent on the gen-set tank? Now there is a tip...

Buy an extra fuel cap for the Honda genset, then remove the vent and drill a hole to mount an outboard motor fuel connector and seal this to the cap. As you use fuel in the genset tank it will draw fuel in from the external tank which is vented. So in effect you are extending the vent to the external tank.
You can still use the original cap when not needing the larger external tank.
