Yes sir, unaka, you're in some beautiful country./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Having travelled a bit around the country, there are many beautiful places to live, depending on how you want to spend your time. However, the one lifestyle I liked even better than a little farm was full time RVing, wandering around. Unfortunately, I'm afraid family (and finances to a lesser extent) will prevent us from doing that again./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

Sorry to hear that, Bird. My uncle got the RVing bug a few years ago, and bought a four-wheel drive Sports Mobile with all the bells and whistles. He's taken me on a few trips around the country, the middle of the desert in Texas, all over Colorado and even up to Nova Scotia, one time. I can see how you can get real attached to that kind of living. I loved it, but alas, I'm 32 and I'll have to pay some more life dues before I can fully embrace that lifestyle.

I take it you've been to the Murphy area. Come back sometime when you can find a little "wander time". Not much has changed.

I guess my message sounded a bit like I was crying in my beer, but not really. Nothing to be sorry about; we've had a good life - still do./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif We've owned 4 RV's while I was still working full time, and two after I retired, so at one time or another we've seen at least some part of every state except Hawaii (some of them we've seen very little of though and would like to see more).

<font color=blue>I loved it, but alas, I'm 32</font color=blue>

I've got a few years on you; turned 62 today!/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif We bought our first RV when I was 31.

I'm not sure, but don't think we've ever actually been in the town of Murphy, but we've been within several miles of it on all 4 sides./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif I love the country for many miles around that area.

Unaka,

You are right, that is some pretty country you live in. We have a weekend home in the N. Georgia Mountains, Cleveland/Helen area, so I am not that far from you. We have also done a fair amount of camping trips up your way in the past. Nice to find a neighbor, sort of, on the forum.
