I have a new self-propelled lawn mower with a Honda engine. Couldn't find an oil drain plug either, so I checked the user manual and it said to tip the mower over to drain the oil out of the same place it is put in. I suppose there is some lodgic behind this method or it's a cheaper way to produce the engine. I would perfer a drain plug on the bottom to help drain any metal shavings or settling of dirt, etc.
/ Where's the oil drain on mtd tiller 550 series Briggs.
Briggs has removed the oil plug on select engines. The reasoning behing it was when used on pushmowers, some of the newer deck designed prevent using a drain plug on the bottom, so through engineering briggs has removed the drain plug from the mold.
