Which Aerator?

I'm assuming you are currently running turfs..
You should have no problems pulling an aerator with turfs.
I wouldn't think it would pull that hard.

I have a 48" Bannerman and i was surprised at how hard it pulled. Like you, i figured it would be like towing a finish mower or something but those spoons really do add some resistance. Mind you, i have alot of clay and my tractor is only 21hp but I was surprised none the less....

Yeah, I was wondering if that might be the case and that is why I asked, but I do have a lot more HP and weight so ...etc.

Well I got it and it works great, I ended up putting 4 packs of roofing shingles on it for additional ballast.I might get a set up for my spare weights or use some sandbags. But it did work fine. In the winter, I will go over the property twice to make sure it is done good before I spread manure - gotta get that dirt black like dirt - more dirt, instead of tan - more clay.
