I ended up getting these brand new "Stout" brand 48" forks for $425.

Now you will need a "Quick Spade". It is basically a massive shovel head that slips over the fork tips. Allows you to dig about 4ft deep. Not as effective as a BH but about 3% of the price. They actually work pretty well and using the forks you can shovel about ten times as much as you can by hand. Cannot find my photos right now but if you search on my screenname and quick spade I'm pretty sure you'll find photos.

As for the pallet grapple check this out-
Fork Grapple | Gator Attachments

I've been needing some forks so i might just get that and kill 2 attachments at once.

Not exactly the same as a grapple in terms of the type of work you can do. Great for moving logs though. Not sure what they charge but you could add a grapple arm to a set of forks for about $350 or so.
