Mitsubishi is my favorite. I chose my grey mainly because when I bought mine I had not heard of the other manufacturers--Iseki, Shibaura, Hinomoto, etc. Luckily, my choice also happens to be one of the better ones concerning parts availability, with only Yanmar significantly better.

Something else to consider is that many parts for other tractors are made by Mitsubishi. Certain Iseki tractors were sold here as Bolens models and had Mitsubishi diesel engines. Your alternator and other components are probably made by Mitsubishi as well.

Kubota naturally - Too good for the yanks so they either send them North to Canada or Downunder to Oz.

We are a bit partial to orange, but all Japanese tractors are good these days.

The results we get from Kubota are outstanding when you consider the (mostly) low maintenance they get.

I like orange ,too. Hinomoto orange. What few parts I need I get from my local MF dealer.

Another Mitsubishi fan. Of course it was the best looking fwd on the lot, and had the least amount of hours on the meter. Oh yeah, it was the right color too, I grew up on Fords.

D 1800. Most likely made in '76. 18 hp on the pto shaft, and fwd. I kinda like it, 'cept I wish it was wider.

James, I purchased a Mitsubishi D-2050 (4 cyl) and recently added a 4' International box blade & 4' International brush cutter to the implement inventory. I haven't really had a chanceto use the brush cutter but I have used the BB quite a bit for driveway grading. It works great with the BB! So far no problems with the tractor very smooth and quiet for a diesel. Haven't had to fix anything but seems to be easy to work on. I am going to DEFINITELY add weight to the front end. I fabricated a 31" front bumper that weighs 63 lbs but is not enough. It seems that most "greys" compacts tend to need front end weight regardless of brand.
