I assume the unit would be between 40 and 50 HP. Would like it to lift at the pivot points better than 2500lbs.
Which model does this and has hst and q/a for the bucket?

Here's the Kubota factory web site...

Look under specifications. You'll need at least the largest L model or better.

I was trying to be lazy. :)
I see the specs use "24" behind the pivot pins, so to compare against others that measure AT the pivot pins, I gues I'd have to deduct about 200l - 300lbs.

l4240 - 2760lbs
l4740 - 2760lbs
l5240 - 2980lbs
Grand L 3130 2650lbs

Hmm, interesting on the Grand L 3130..

Those are 3ph lifts. You were talking loader lift werent you?

Kubota FEL's are named by lift capacity in kg, you will need something with LA1150 or higher number.

Assuming you are looking at three point hitch capacities:

The tractor will lift less 24" behind the pins than at the pins.

It's really a torque measurement - the three point works in an arc, how much weight depends on how far back. - the further back, the less weight.

If you have a 2,500# implement, I'd be looking at a cat 2 machine (utility)

Since the 3ph is a parallelogram linkage the implement doesnt pivot much as it raises. The implement does not pivot with the lift arms and so the lift capacity changes little as the implement center of mass is moved back behind the pins.

I'm after bucket specs. Now I know why they said 24" behind pivots. :)

I'm dumb. Will try to look up loaders later.. Short on time...

To calculate the new weight rating with your attachment, compute the torque generated from the attachment as a function of the weight of the attachment (COG) and the distance the COG is from the Lift Pins.
Derate lift capacity by the torque.

To lift that much you need a L48, M59, orthe larger M series machines. Keeping in mind bucket mid point and not at the pins. Big difference, and even more so with forks on.
