Which plow and tiller for a 9N?

Diamond tooth harrows are very common in some agricultural areas. That was a baby set. A 9n could pull maybe six sections.

Attched is picture of normal set.

5 passes with that and I'd be done! Interesting to see how it has evolved.

Another plow question....
I have found one in the paper about 4 hours from here. So far no answer there. I bet it's still there.
"Single 22 with coulters, $250" That means little to me (22 inches, single bottom I gather), I don't know what these colters are. Any ideas? Thanks again.

A 9n won't pull a single 22" bottom.. biggest it will pull is a single 16" bottom.. Or a 2 bottom 10-12-14. Colters are a wheel like structure to help cut weeds / thatch / sod to some extent.

I agree with soundguy. However, newspapers are really bad at typos in the classified, and it's a good way to get a good deal 'cause no one else will be calling....

A single 22" bottom would only have _one_ coulter, so things don't add up. Either is is a single 22 inch with a single coulter - which is a real odd deal, not a common plow size. Or something got printed wrong. I'd still follow up & figure out what it is if you are looking....

Could be a type 12.. or the owner could see a landslide as a 2nd coulter.. or it was a 2 bottom 22 ( wow ) and a bottom is missing.. but coulter is there... I've seen some way out farmerized stuff.. horse plows converted to 3pt.. sulkies.. fast / eagle hitch plows converted.. etc.

A pic would help.

Just an idea, but SOMETIMES people measure plows all wrong. I've heard folks talking about a 20" or 22" plow, only to find out they were measuring the share (point) of the plow diagonal instead of width of cut. A 16" share is about 22" long, but only cuts 16" wide.

All things being equal, I'd like to see a picture too.

Thanks for the thoughts here. I've been so busy, didn't see the posts.
I did get a photo of the plow, I didn't make the trip up myself yet though.
It in some format called RAR(?) which was a pain to open, maybe I'm the only one useless on the computer I don't know.
If anyone wants a photo I'd be very happy to email it over. Thanks.
