Which "Power Wheels Dune Racer" Type Vehicle Is Best?

We have two grandchildren, 4 and 7 years old, it is almost spring,,,
THESE KIDS DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE YET!!
(What is wrong with these Millennial parents, anyways!??)

Us grandparents need to get these kids driving,,, (I need to get my grass cut in a few years!)

So, I need to get a vehicle,,, which one,,, maybe this?

So, do you have any experience with these electric cars
or recommendations of one versus another?

We've had several, buy a spare battery or two, takes 3x longer to charge than run dead. Kids love em.

From a battery standpoint, two kids in one machine equals a dead battery faster.

I would look into a quad or little tractor maybe.

A guy I used to work with bought a quad for his grand kids, he hooked up a 18v dewalt nicad battery to it , he said that thing would fly and the battery lasted a very long time lol.

I was surprised it didn't burn the thing up lol.

But no matter which one or two you pick, the kids are gonna think it's the best thing they have ever seen and got to play with, that would be a toy that makes them bug there parents to go over to grandads house lol.

One idea here is when I was a kid I had a little quad, I absolutely loved the thing and to this day remember playing with it, I also had a pedal tractor which I loved also and here's why, my dad had a garden tractor and when he mowed I would pretend to mow, same with the quad, it always made it better and more memorable because my dad had big versions.

I think a grand kid would want to be just like grandpa playing on a little electric tractor. When I was a kid that part was almost more fun then the toy itself.

Yeah it might be a little early for that one lol.

The one in the video, I do really like the fact how wide it is, it would be very stable on a hill, also it looks like the center of gravity is low with the kid in it and harder for them to fall out of it.

I was looking at all the electric powered vehicles, the dune racer seems to be the most practical off a hard surface, my only other pic might be this.

Yeah it might be a little early for that one lol.

Actually, I purchased that when my daughter was 23 months old.
It had a baffle in the exhaust that reduced the power.

I tied a rope to it,,, and held on, following her around the yard, stopping her before she would hit something.

The second daughter had less interest,, she did not drive it until she was four years old.
Today, both are excellent drivers, with, knock on wood,,, zero accidents.

I am a big believer in early driver training,,, the earlier, the better,,, but,,
there is a much greater demand for greater safety these days.

Get em a gas powered golf cart and disable the governor. What doesn't kill em will make em stronger.
