I take my knife and cut a triangle shape slit in the foil. I cut it about 3/8" at the top down to nothing at the bottom where i pour it out. Works real good and do not spill any. I also went to Wal-mart and got a four pack of stainless steel cups in the cooking section that are two ounces. Wide mouth and easy to pour into and out. Keep it in the back of the truck in a plastic bag and is always there.

The easiest method for measuring (I use 3 oz per 5 gallons) is to buy a plastic baby bottle at the drug store and use it. It is graduated in ounces and cubic centimeters. )

I bought an 8 Oz. baby bottle.
I filled it up to the 8 ounce mark then put an ounce in a measuring glass and poured that in the baby bottle.
Took a black marker pen and marked the 9 6 and 3 ounce measures
on the baby bottle.
Now all I have to do is pour down to the next black mark each time I fill the 5 gallon can.
When the bottle is emptied all I have to do is fill it back up to the top black mark and I'm good to go for 3 more 5 gallon cans.

Thanks a bunch for the baby bottle tip.

Madreferee,

I know why I like to read these posts - good tips!
Just this past week I was trying to decide what measuring device I could use to pour fuel additive into to put into my tractor. Heck I was going to use a measuring cup from the kitchen (hate to breakup a set even if they are cheap plastic). I just guessed when adding a very small amount (two cap fulls or so) of additive to my fuel. Your idea of using a baby formula bottle is great. Thanks for the tip. Charlie

If you need a funnel to pour from the Baby Bottle into the fuel can just cut the tip off of one of the baby bottle nipples.

The thing I like about the Baby bottle is no more funnel or measuring cup clean ups

Evidently the white bottle stuff is a better anti-gel, but from what I read on the PS website, it seems that way only because you have to add twice as much as the silver. Please clue me in on what is the 'good stuff'.

the silver bottle does not have an anti gel in it, only the white bottle does. both bottles have the same mix ratio.
