We have some property that we have cleared and need a landscape rake to rid it of rocks and misc. trash. The rake will be used on a Ford 340B industrial tractor with approximately 50 hp.

The rakes we are considering are the ABI LR72, the Linebach RR-6, and the ETALR-72. These seem to be similar in quality with some relatively minor design differences.

I live in North Carolina and am only 35 miles from the Linebach store, which has good prices, and 85 miles from the Everything Attachments store. I am going to call ETA and ask if their prices are lower on FOB sales that do not involve shipping.

Do any of you have opinions on these three rakes?

Thanks!

Glad to hear you've had good service from the Linebach rake. As they are only 35 miles from us, that is probably what I will go with. There are a couple of features on the ETA I like, but I'm not sure if it is worth driving 85 miles for them. I'll wait until I find if the FOB price on the ETA model is lower and then decide.

I have the 8' version of that Leinback rake. I picked it up used and untweeked one end and replace a few missing tines. It's a nicely constructed rake and based on how it's built, I'm seriously considering getting one of their post hole diggers.

Looks like I'll be going with the Linebach rake. I can pick the Lineback up in East Bend for almost $300 less than than having the ETA shipped from Newton. A drive to Newton only saves about $50.00. The difference between the two is not worth $300 to me.

Thanks to all for opinions and experiences!

The 3 links you provided showed rakes w/o caster or guide wheels. You really need to have them to in many cases so the rake doesn't "dig in", due to a short tractor wheelbase.

I bought a no-name landscape rake with wheels that has worked well for us. Bent it several times backing up, but the double plate design was easier for the welder to repair than cutting and trimming a crimped box beam.

Thanks for the heads - up regarding guide wheels. Although they may be useful to me later, the work I will do initially with the rake is rough, clean - up work on newly graded land. I may need the wheels later and can pick them up at Linebach's. Also, I talked with a Linebach sales rep yesterday and he told me that they do not sell many guide wheel sets in this area; they are sold primarily in the northeast and Florida.

I've purchased a PH digger and a two bottom plow from Leinbach. Good prices and good equipment. I can't ask for more.

Duh . . . I misspelled Leinbach in the title of this post and for some reason misspelled it numerous times in the posts. My bad! Only wanted everyone to know I know the proper spelling. Must have been multiple Senior Moments!!

Just realized that I misspelled it Leinback instead of Leinbach. Senior moments for everyone.
