Is it that hard on a tractor to do basic brush clearing??? I’m not to worried about the trees/stumps right now. I can always remove the stumps that I need to by hand!?! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I’ll be keeping the 3600 for at least another 4-6 years to do basic mowing, raking, etc. After that I’d like to get something my wife could easily handle.
The river is not that big of a problem. The river is about 40yds wide, but the way the crossing is setup you drive about 80yds in the water. The bottom is not soft, but not real hard either (sort of a mixture of sand and rocks the size of a baseball to football). Every now and then the current owner will take a Ford 8N over.
I’m a little leery of “off brands”, companies I’ve never heard of or seen local to me (Kioti, Mahindra, etc.) I’m not saying they are bad, just I’ve never seen one on a farm or lot. Probably 80% of the tractors around me are either Ford/NH or Massey Ferguson with John Deere in third.

IT WAS CHEAPER???????? I priced a used 2003 JD 5320 w/ FEL and it was only a $1000 cheaper than a new NH TN75A w/ FEL!?!?! A new JD 5320 was going to be about $2-3K more. I'm looking at spending less than $32K. If I could get a JD 5420 around that price I would definitely consider it!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
