I took my JD 4610 ehydro in to have the filters and hydro oil change. About a month after having this done, I got my bill and a list of products they used. I noticed they replaced the hydro oil with Low Viscosity hydraulic oil.
According to my owners manual and the chart for hydro oil, I should be using Hy-Guard (for temps from 0 to 122 degrees). The Low Viscosity they put it is good for temps from -40 to 83 degrees. I called and talked to the head mechanic and ask him about this. He told me that the JD schools he's went to, they've suggested using Low Viscosity for all weather climates.
My question is, is he yanking me around or is this true? I use this tractor in temps from 15 to 105 degrees.
Thanks
Billy
