Who builds Cabela's brand tractors?

Considering Cabelas reputation with customer service I suspect they will take good care of their customers who buy tractors as well.

I live not far from the Cabelas headquarters and had a chance to look at their line the other day. I was impressed. If I was in the market for a tractor I would give them a look.

Cabela's Warranty: THREE years bumper to bumper, five years drivetrain. Parts and LABOR included for all five years. 3000 hours maximum.

Summary: Cabela's offers one full year more bumper to bumper (3 versus 2 for TYM), offers parts and labor for all five years versus TYM parts only in year five, and covers an additional 1000 hours (3000 versus 2000 for TYM).

Again, just trying to share facts about Cabela's when inaccuracies are posted.

I must eat crow- I see TYM's site has a misprint. They used to be 4 years labor, 5 years parts. It is now 5 years, parts and labor. They are working on cleaning up their web site, and it looks like they have a little ways to go, yet.

As indicated previously, I'm an advisor to Cabela's and only comment when I see something on this forum related to Cabela's Tractors that is not accurate. it is not accurate to say that Cabela's Tractors cost more than a TYM tractor. The ultimate selling price depends upon each individual dealer's final price to sell a given tractor, and Cabela's final deal with promotions. It is also important to point out that Cabela's implements are made by Woods Equipment in the USA, and the tires and wheels are made in the USA by Titan, when TYM implements and tires/wheels are Korean and China made respectively. Cabela's tractors have a better warranty than TYM Tractors (3 year full machine, 5 year powertrain with no deductible, parts and labor included for all five years - Cabela's added the additional warranty terms not offered on TYM Tractors). As for pricing, here is an example: Cabela's is now offering 35HP tractors with a Woods-made loader for $17,999, - AND they give the customer a $1000 Cabela's Voucher good for anything they sell. That is about as good a deal as there is for a 35Hp Tractor. Again, I only comment in response to things said about Cabela's Tractors that are not accurate.

TYM dealers sell that 35hp tractor with TWICE the lift capacity for $17,999, and offer superior implements in package deals far less than Cabela's marked up Woods implements. Folks, anytime there's an additional middle man, there's a higher cost. It's just business.

We also have lower interest financing options than Cabela's, with approved credit, and accept trade-ins. There are lots of advantages of working with independent servicing dealers (of any brand) over the mass merchants.

The dealer you are ordering from probably is holding your order and pooling it on a stock order with other customers to save freight costs. They can pay expedited freight to get things to you the next day, but it comes at a cost. In the case of CAT (and some of our vendors) that cost is baked into the price of the part.

of course you could also check with our Messicks parts staff, who have 93% of all requested Kubota parts in stock with same day shipping before 2PM EST.

Yes, they do and I get my parts from Messicks (the consumable ones that is). with one caveat and that is... make sure they (Messicks) quotes your ship cost prior to ordering, this last time I assumed (wrongly) that shipping would be reasonable and it was not, in fact, I could have bought locally for less.

Back on subject..... Cablelas and Tractors... I live 2 miles from Cabelas in Dundee and I pass by those tractors and never give thm a thought.

Why would I consider buyinbg a tractor from a company like Cabelas, who hasn't a clue how to service one, let alone do warranty work. Buying any tractor there is, IMO, just plain stupid.

Who is doing the service work on the tractors Cabelas sells? Is it in house with service bays, trained staff, parts, ect , or do you take your tractor some where else?

I don't know the answer to your question but I question your perceived knowledge here. How do you know they don't know how to service them? Based on? Cabelas has tremendous customer service IMO so I want to know what you know that speaks otherwise in the case of tractors.
