Who builds JD Compact Tractors?

I had the 2720, it's a very sweet machine. I just needed more hydraulics for my place.

I could probably use more too, but right now my building won't accomaodate anything larger.....plus, I need the mmm for tons of leaf clean up and I don't want the mmm on a larger tractor.

Hopefully in the future I'll get a 4 or 5000 series for my bull-work, but for now I'M TOO EXCITED WAITIN' FOR THIS 2720

Deere like a lot of companies gets parts from all over the world.

On the politics there is a sliding scale from low taxes and limited government to high taxes and big government. Some people need the government, I don't.

You can't have a free market and buy American all the time. I think Deere assembles a great global product.

The other thing to remember is that JD sells a lot of tractors that are manufactured here in the US abroad. Perhaps some of jobs and money have gone oversees, but we have brought back additional jobs selling equipment to those countries that we might not have otherwise.

This isn't a forum for debating the origin of words, but this statement isn't correct, at least according to the Oxford English Dictionary (OED) -- a source I consider authoritative.

When I Googled the topic, the Trotsky reference is from 1930. The OED lists the following "1926 Manchester Guardian 22 Sept. 5 If the French people and Government show that they desire to come to a real understanding the opposition of the German Nationals and the Racists will be nullified and will soon disappear altogether."

I was in naval intelligence doing electronic surveillance.

I knew that too! That is why I created my own list that is current as I have read John Deere's own publications and plates/stampings as found on the machines themwselves. :confused2:

I agree totally that Deere has done a great job in this area.

I also believe Ford is doing a fine job at building global cars today. While I'm not opposed to the current practice of global manufacturing, such as Deere and Ford (my reference of Ford is not meant to exclude any other manufactureres that may be just as effective) are demonstrating, I would be opposed to all OCONUS manufacturing practices on an assumption that sales and service will be sufficient! (not implying you said this BethesdaEC)

This is a practice that would beckon a people into a lulled sense of security.
