Robert, yours definitely qualifies. I only wish back when I would have known I would find a group that would enjoy my getting stuck. Because, I could have taken some really good pics -if I would have thought about it.

I wish dad had gotten pictures of the Navy's Cletrac sunk to the top of its hood with a D-9 that got stuck trying to pull it out. The Cletrac had to go on the trailer sideways as it had 2X6 boards on its tracks to give it better flotation in the wet areas.

Ok I can't be left out of this one!
In my neck out the woods your not stuck unless you get help
from someone else or only delayed
I got "delayed" while cleaning out a trench for drifting snow last year.
With a lot of shoveling and a little strong talking it came out on it's own.
The best part of this post is we were all silly enough to take pictures of it

Those were some good ones Eddie. Always fun getting a dozer stuck. Wish I had some pictures of a dragline that we pulled out one time. The owner called wanting us to bring an excavator to pull him out, he stated that he had a D7 and a D5 but couldn't pull it out. He said it was hard to pull on the rain cap, he had slid off his mats. We had to walk out on mats with the hoe and dig him out to break the suction and then ramp it best we could to pull him out.

I got a tandem L9000 stuck one time with a load of topsoil at the loading site. I didn't know it but I was sitting on about 2 feet of crust that I broke thru when I pulled away from the pile. Had to shovel that whole load off before the wrecker could pull it out. Summertime, Georgia, Humidity, Heat......not fun.

Eddie, that dumptruck photo is epic! It looks like you backed off the end of a pier!

We had a readymix truck do that once. He got a good run in reverse up over the gentle curb and across the future lawn. Except he didn't go up the slight slope, he submerged into it like your photo, just after his front wheels crossed the curb. We had to wheelbarrow the mud uphill to the pour. When his buddy brought the next load he attached a cable. It was amazing to see a fully loaded readymix truck spin every drive wheel, slowly, on pavement tugging on him. (60-70k lbs???) This finally got the now-emptied truck out. We had to wheelbarrow that second delivery clear from the curb up to the job.

Here's my closest-to-stuck photo. Couple of weeks ago. But it's better described as 'momentarily delayed'.

After I figured out that the backhoe bucket had gone aground and that was what stopped me, I raised it, then used the front bucket as a toboggan to lift the front tires out of a 3 ft deep muck pile where they were embedded. Then backed out. All this just as heavy rain hit. For a moment there I was reflecting on my neighbor's advice: "Sometimes you just have to tarp it and come back next spring".
